Blood Compact Site (Sandugo Festival)

Bohol Blood Compact Site is located in Barangay Bool, Tagbilaran City, Bohol, Philippines. This particular site was made in honor of a very important event in the Philippine history done between Miguel Lopez de Legazpi of Spain and Rajah Sikatuna of Bohol. This Sikatuna-Legaspi blood compact is considered as the First Treaty of Friendship between two different races, religions, cultures and civilizations. It was a treaty of friendship based on respect and equality. This event is commonly known as “Sandugo”. The compact was sealed on March 16, 1565.

Baclayon Church (oldest church)

The Church of Immaculada Concepcion in Baclayon is considered to be one of the oldest in the Philippines. Construction began in 1717 where some 200 native forced laborers (obras pias) cut and dragged coral blocks from the sea, using only bamboos in moving and lifting the stones in position.Millions of white eggs were said to have been used as cement. The current building was completed in 1727.
The biggest Bohol Pyhton Snake (most famous)

Albur's star

Alburquerque is reputed to have one of the longest (10 meters) and heaviest (400kg) python in captivity. The python named Prony is Albur's star and has known to the people as "Live Anaconda of Bohol."Just a few hundred meters is a Python sanctum which is 14 years old in existence. The biggest python in captivity ever known. Named after its captor, Prony, it loves to eat virgin Pig or 2 Goats during feeding time.

Bohol Tarsiers

The world's smallest primate

Bohol Tarsiers (Tarsius Syrichta) measures 4 to 5 inches and is considered as the world’s smallest primate. Its size is no longer than an adult man’s hand and weigh only about 113 to 142 grams or four to five ounces. Lunch Buffet @ Loboc River Floating Restaurant

The Loboc River

The Loboc River is now one of the major destinations of tourists, local and foreigners alike. Located in the Municipality of Loboc, a mere 24 kilometers away from Tagbilaran City, the winding river plays host to cruisers on board small bancas or floating restaurants.

Hanging Bridge

Made up of flexible and tough bamboo, crosses over a certain part of the Loboc River’s emerald waters; Sipatan Hanging Bridges does not only serve to the tourists but to the locals as well. These 100-meter footbridges attracted several foreign tourists who savor the thrill of crossing and diving in the cool and unpolluted water of the river. With two bridges, tourist safety will be assured. A two-way traffic in just one narrow foot bridge, with people meeting at the center of the swaying bridge could give inconvenience to tourists. Thus, the construction of another bridge could help avoid traffic and lightens the carrying capacity of the foot bridge.

Man-made Forest

The Bohol Forest is a man-made mahogany forest stretching in a two-kilometer stretch of densely planted Mahogany trees located in the border of Loboc and Bilar towns. Before and after this man-made forest are the naturally grown forests of Loboc and Bilar which are thick with a kaleidoscope of green foliage, different species of trees and giant ferns lining the road.

Chocolate Hills

The famed Chocolate Hills of Bohol are not only two but more than 1,268 cone-shaped hills – a very strange geological formation that has baffled a lot of geologists. The hills are spread over an area of 50 square kilometers or more and vary in size from 30 meters to 120 meters in height.
The Chocolate Hills appear to be seemingly endless when viewed atop the hill in Carmen town. The viewing deck there gives you a 360° view of the hills “as far as the eyes can see”. It is more majestic when viewed from a plane – them appearing to be thousands of mole hills dotting out from verdant surroundings.
What’s unique with these limestone chocolate hills is that they are only covered in grass and the cone shape is more or less common to all although differing in size. The hills look chocolaty only during dry season when the grass withers and turns into brown and looks like giant chocolate kisses.
